well I started him last night at our club , the axe and hands need some lovin with warm water to bend the resin to fit perfectley as it seems a little warped , however the biggest issue with this guy is all the little spikes .. tons of them teeth for the axe , spikes for the shoulders , spikes for all over the body .

ity bity bits ...... but man he looks sweet !

I've been building this model (the DP) over the last couple nights. The resin flash was pretty bad...I almost felt like I was sculpting his axe myself ;) . But the big fella is together now and demanding paint, so that's the battle plan for this weekend.

I absolutely love the look of the model. It's a bit unfortunate that he completely dwarfs my Bloodthirster (they look as though their stat lines should be reversed), but I see that as more of a problem with the BT kit showing its age.

Oh, I was going to mention - the rules for The Warfiend are also in Imperial Armor: Apocalypse II, along with rules for a formation that includes him.

Looking forward to seeing pics of your Daemon Prince Oz. You should start your own WIP thread and post up pics if you have a camera to do so.

Thanks for the mention on IA:Apoc II as well. I haven't picked up that book as of yet.

I should have some pics up shortly. I've been lazy about that lately, but as my Daemon army is starting to take shape (1000 points currently) I should snap some photos.

IA:Apoc II is worth the money, imho. Very nice full color layout, and it includes rules for a number of heavy hitters. Datasheets for the Warfiend, his crew, the Blood Slaughterers, and the Chaos Reaver among others. Some of those Nurgle slackers in there too, hehe. They also have a nice section of optional Apoc rules and missions - I'm using a few of them in an event later this Summer.

Just wanted to add my two cents here. I picked up the FW DP at Gamesday last year, and I still haven't finished building him yet. Lots of fiddly little parts! Almost everything needs to be pinned, which suits me just fine, I pin everything anyway. There were some flash issues, but nothing that couldn't be cleaned up with a knife, the worst part was the axe haft being bent badly, but nothing some warm water couldn't handle. I'm hoping to get him finished at some point soon, and get some paint on him, as the sculpt is really amazing, and pics just don't do it any real justice.

Thanks for the feedback on IA:Apoc II. I hadn't seen it and haven't heard any feedback on it yet. It sounds better than I had hoped.
