Target the building, place the center of the blast marker on the building but cover as many enemy models as possible. Okay, I've obviously been playing Company of Heroes for far too many hours this week. Where it is possible for armour and artillery to decimate every piece of terrain in CoH, Warhammer 40k is limited to destroying buildings only. Most of our games have ruins and various mishmash terrain.

Although the option of hitting an intact building should never be overlooked as any models positioned on the top of the building add +1 to a die roll and a destroyed building (5) results in difficult/dangerous terrain and the models must vacate. Explosion leaves a crater and wounds occupants with a strength 4 hit. The ideal would be to meltagun the building and then proceed to shoot/assault the occupants thererin. Or assault the building with an MC and then shoot/assault the occupants. Okay, now I can't wait to play a game of Apocalypse again.

I was looking over the Imperial Armour VII book reading the Servants of Decay and all I gotta say is OMG. The Plague Ogryns are sick. The entire army concept is absolutely gorgeous. Plague Marines as elites along side traitor guard companies. I absolutely love it. Not to mention my plague zombies are stronger than Alfalfa on steroids (they still suck tho). I really wish they had given Nurgle the super heavy (as opposed to Khorne) and made the Servants of Blood army with Berzerkers along side traitor guard. Oh well, hopefully our Khorne army will come out in IA8.

Anyhow the swag hath arrived:

Any other store would find themselves long out of business with all these warped pieces soaking in simple green. Oh well, must look on the bright side: am aspiring towards Chaos Reaver Titan.

This is my son's stuff, I bought him the warboss and he purchased the other three nobs:

This is our Traitor Guard army insofar.

And last but not least, my daughters doll:

That is a big box o' happiness. Your traitor guard force seems to be growing fast.
A good leader inspires by example but if that fails brutal violence works just as well.

Thanks much Birdie, you'll soon be receiving a small package of appreciation for your generous contributions on ToS.

As for now, I am working on building three Hydras. In my life-- I either twin or work towards building trinity. Building three Hydras is a challenge. Working with anything Forge World is a love/hate relationship. I've already received my baptism of resin last summer when I built my three land raiders with FW doors-- yowie. They look great and to this day still open and close!

The kit does not include any instructions. I have the pieces all washed and the warps have all been removed. I searched online and lo and behold, it is a Chaos player that hath taken the time to publish a tutorial for building Hydras. (A good pamphlet read for indication of what to expect from Forge World.)

Thanks Birdie, I'm just glad I finally found a place for those Chaos plates.

I want to run a test pattern first, I have a chimera that needs repainting.
