Good idea using the flying stand to support the weight. That's probably a lot easier than pinning every single leg joint.

*whistle* Very nice looking Lawz! He really turned out well. Very inspirational.

back on the modelling binge this weekend , however my camera seems to be misplaced , so I have no visual updates .

the imperial strongpoints came so 3 more wall sets and 2 bastions are in the process of being made, the temple of skulls have a nother coat on them and are closer to complete , I finally finsied building the last of my bloodletters ( 9 more as one was used in the hatch of the stormlord.) and lastly a member in my club had a chaos termie lord that he used the lighting claws from from his spacewolves and in turn passed me the rest of the kit so now there is another termie with combi melta and chainfist.

I will be I have a lot of sprues to cut up still with the bastions probably 2 more hours of just cleaning , and I have tested out colours.

for the walls and the bastion I am undercoating red , dry brushing with boltgun metal and drybrushing with chardonite granite, it seems to create a nice weathered look , which should work ( and is simple )

once I find the camera I will throw up some pics .

Hey Lawz!!

Cool Bloodslaughterer! What i'd like to tell you is that i find your painting has improved. When i look at the BS the layers look pretty smooth now. I remember sometimes you had quite some rough coats on a few of your models. :thumbleft:
An idea i'd have for you would be to try out "KK's dripping blood effect(TM) " on the arm blades and on the jaws, as that would look mighty cool i think.

Thought i'd just tell ya ;)

cheers,

Chris

This is really very nice, I just think the base lets it down slightly, if the base was a bit more scenic then it would make the whole thing look nicer, just my thoughts on it, I do not know how the rest of your army is based however but for a model like this I think that not going the extra mile on it would be a shame.
