thanKs for the info on the Lava , I wil be revisiting it shortly .

however , the basic color scheme worked out good enough for me , so mecharite red , boltgun metal and then some chardonite granite , over and over a nd over again , all done with a gw large drybrush ( little plug for the new brushes , there ya go GW)

all that is left is one bastion and a lascannon sentry gun.

looks good to me buddy.
if you added a little touch of weathering (rust/oxidisation) it'd look super sweet and wouldnt take long

Looks fantastic Lawz :thumbsup:

A very big well done for getting through it all, must've been mind numbing after a while doing the same thing over and over and over and over and over .......................... :D, but the results are great so it was worth it.

orange is a good idea. A recent issue of WD had a painting tut for the stompa and it had a good plan for making red metal look weathered using blazing orange. Maybe even snakebite leather and orange on top would work. Or mixed to darken it down.

Easy Rust
water down some Dark Flesh
apply it round rivets/crevaces etc
let it dry
water down some Blazing Orange
do the same

Job done! :thumbleft:

you dont even have to be that carefull with it if it splashes a bit all the better
