Not sure how it would play Tom, but you should have a look at this thread (on another ahem.... site) for an idea of how to put together a Throne of Skulls/Doomblaster combo :D

I would say stay away from the doom blaster , the profile is good for cheap , however we dpon't lack in infantry killing and that's really what it is used for ,. think before you build one , do you really want to wipe out all your assault targets befoe you get there ?

I would stick witht he brass scorpions and use the Tower of skulls as back up , it deals enough damage to make back it's points and it goes up in a nasty explosion when you get close .

@Birdie- Yes, I saw that thread over there...its a nicely done model but something about it doesn't sit quite right
with me...not sure what it is...his Doomblaster is very much what I would envisage one to be but I'm not keen
on his ToS. Of course, I should save criticism of his models until I have one of my own to put up. :)

I think the idea of a Doomblaster is more appealing than the actual vehicle. It looks great but it doesn't seem that
it would be as effective as another super heavy I could take.

I find it curious that GW has not come out with a datasheet for the Cannon of Khorne or the Cauldron of Blood.

@Lawz- I'm definately taking the Brass Scorpion...I think the ToS will be a little ways off...looking at the different models,
it seems deceptively easy to build but I'm sure it is more involved so I will plan significantly more before I start that.

Thanks for all of the input so far. I would hope that this thread can be used to discuss other formations/legendary units and how they perform in Apoc games for us.

Thanks,
Tom

Tom, the BS is really easy to put together if as you say you plan all the bits beforehand, if I ever get round to it I'll post mine, I've built it and started painting it but my son arriving has gobbled up my hobby time and I've never had the chance to revisit it
