Khornate Orks

Just curious.... anyone know if Orks can convert to chaos? I remember seeing a picture in the Daemon Hunters Codex with Orks converted. Just wondering if anyone knows of any lore... if not.. I could run up a fantasy style Ork army running with the Warriors of Chaos book right?

Orks are highly resistant against the influences of Chaos, but in very rare cases they can be "infested".

The german version of the lexicanum contains an article based on the orc background book "freebooterz" which was released during the first edition of Warhammer 40k. It speaks about the "Stormboyz of Khorne". While normal Stormboyz are young Orks who rebell against the ork society and will go back to the normal orkish life sometimes, there are some Orks that will ever be stormboyz. Most of them make their own clans and life a bit outside from the ork society 'cause their military organisation isn't very orkish.
But a few of them start to worship Khorne their militarism can only be fullfilled by collection skulls in the name of the bloodgod. Those ones life outside the ork society and normal orks will definatly kill them, when they can 'cause worshipping the chaos the worst thing you can do as ork (maybe besides being a hippie ).

EDIT: all this is just for 40k but I think you can make a story for fantasy out of this

I don't really like Chaos Warriors and I'm running Daemons in 40k and World Eaters in 40k... so I was thinking about maybe if a really powerful Warboss just loses it... gets blessed by the blood god.. let the blood flow...

I'll look into it and think about it. Only reason I started the topic was due to the post 'blud for da blud gawd' in the current contest... it god me thinking..

If I don't end up doing this I will most likely go Brets or with the army I really want but am afraid of.... I call it Zombie Nation(Vamp Counts) .. Hoping to run about 300-400 zombies minimum with some sweet lords and counter assault units to help the zombie shields win combat.

I don't see why not. I can't recall anything saying the can't be. Only thing I know of that can't be corrupted is Lizardmen? I think it was. Being the 'Old Ones' Children and all, rather die and all that sort.

Humans (check)
Dwarfs (check)
Skaven (worship a demi god already... so check)
Ogres (check)
Orcs and Goblins .... (? believe so?)

Lizardmen (negative)

Think thats all the races.

Sorry, missed the obvious... You could always just use said Orcs converted and the like to whatever you'd like and use appropriate Chaos Stat lines.

Orc Boys = Warriors
Big 'Uns = Chosen
Savage Orcs = Forsaken
